Creative Quality Matters

Hello, my name is Kristel van den Akker and I am the founder of Creative Release Designs. I live in the Netherlands in a village called Woerdense Verlaat. That's only 20 minutes away from Amsterdam. I was born on the 2th of november 1988, so that makes me 22. I study Communication on the Hogeschool INHOLLAND Diemen/Amsterdam and I also teach Photoshop there. Yup, I am a student and a teacher at the same school. I started teaching when I was in my first year.

How it al started:

I started with Photoshop when I was barely 16. I used it for photo retouching, but it was nothing serious. When I turned 18 I started to explore Photoshop and I bought my first Mac. I was studying Retail at the time when I figured that I didn't want my own shop. I started to design al kinds of things. From retouching to flyers to posters. I already knew a couple of things, but I had no idea that there was so much more. I worked hard to become better and better. I was 19 when I finished Retail school and I started at Hogeschool INHOLLAND in September 2008. I was barely 20 when they asked me if I could teach Photoshop. I am the first first-year student to become a teacher at INHOLLAND.

Creative Release Designs:

On the 1st of August 2009, I started Creative Release Designs and it has been one of the greatest things that has ever happened to me. I've had some great projects and I'm hoping that there will be much more like them in the future. I'm grateful for all the things that come with having a company like CRD and I am determent to work hard to get the most out of my work. Next to Photoshop, I'm also working with Flash, Illustrator and InDesign. I am familiar with Dreamweaver for webcoding, but I rather work with Coda, because I like to write the code myself. (I know you can do that with Dreamweaver, but I still love Coda more!)

Contact and Social:

If you like you can contact me. I'm a real social network lover, so choose your poison:
